Mariinsky Theatre The Mariinsky Theatre brings its acclaimed production of Wagner's colossal four-opera cycle Der Ring des Nibelungen hailed by the New York Times as ‘one of the four or five most important stagings since the middle of the last century'.		Mariinsky Ballet The ballet season opens with Leonid Lavrovsky's celebrated realisation of Romeo and Juliet. The Mariinsky Ballet will also pay homage to George Balanchine, as well as bringing you one of the greatest of all ballets, The Sleeping Beauty and one of St Petersburg's great treasure's Swan Lake.
