Russia's magnificent Bolshoi Opera makes its first ever visit to the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in July, presented by Victor Hochhauser.
In a week of performances calculated to show the best of both the traditional and the new in the company’s repertoire, the Bolshoi will present Francesca Zambello’s acclaimed production of Prokofiev’s powerful masterpiece The Fiery Angel, together with its celebrated staging of Musorgsky’s Boris Godunov.
Over 300 artists of the Bolshoi Opera will come to London, including the 80-strong Bolshoi Chorus and the Orchestra of the Bolshoi Theatre, under its Artistic Director and Chief Conductor, Alexander Vedernikov.
