Giselle
Distraught after hearing of the treacherous deceit of her lover Albrecht, Giselle dies. Tortured by remorse for his actions, Albrecht visits her moonlit grave where he encounters the Wilis, ghosts of young girls who dance to death any man who crosses their path between midnight and daybreak. But Giselle’s love for Albrecht transcends death.
The Bolshoi’s acclaimed version embodies all the lyricism and purity of the Romantic style, as well as all the charm and pathos of this most enduring work.
