The Order of Friendship of the Russian Federation
In June 2010 an awards ceremony was held at the Russian Ambassador’s residence in London. HE Yury Fedotov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation, presented Victor and Lilian Hochhauser with the Order of Friendship of the Russian Federation for their considerable contribution to the strengthening and developing of Russian-British relations, as decreed by the President of the Russian Federation, Mr Dmitry Medvedev, in October 2009.

The Royal Academy of Dance Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Award

On 16 November 2009 The Royal Academy of Dance honoured Victor and Lilian Hochhauser with the Queen Elizabeth II Coronation Award, to mark their lifetime contribution to dance in Britain. A special presentation took place in the Crush Room of the Royal Opera House, with heartwarming speeches given by Dame Antoinette Sibley and Clement Crisp OBE.
Instituted in 1953 to mark the coronation of H.M. Queen Elizabeth II, the Academy’s Patron, the QEII Coronation Award is the highest honour the Academy can bestow. Past recipients include Sir Frederick Ashton, Dame Marie Rambert, Dame Ninette de Valois, Alexander Grant CBE and Sir Peter Wright.
Special award from the Russian government
In 2006, a special award was presented to Victor and Lilian Hochhauser on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, by HE Yury Fedotov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation. This award was given in honour of their unique role in promoting Russian Culture in Britain for over half a century.
